20 Sep Pub’s Harvest Supper Sells Out!
Thanks to everyone who donated produce or in any way supported our two day Harvest Supper special menu. With home grown donated produce featuring in every part of the menu, there was plenty to choose from; right from the plums, raspberries and apples in the Fruit Cobbler and pears in the Pear Frangipan, to the parsnips and potatoes in the Parsnip Mash with delicious Lamb Shanks; marrow, onions and tomatoes in the Quiche and the Stuffed Marrow and the green beans, courgettes, blackberries, squash and other delicious fruit and vegetables that all featured. A fantastic crop!
We were pleased to offer Burnt Foot wines from our local vineyard; Slivovitz and Calvados as aperitifs and chasers and Nethergate Brewery’s Suffolk County Bitter as a delightful, chestnut full-bodied well favoured beer (which we will be getting more of due to popular demand).
